Howdy Pardner

It seems blogging is one of the latest ways to waste time. That in and of itself should make it a blast to have one.

Therefore, although I am late to the game, here's mine.

I feel that everyone is entitle to my opinion. (Since you can't hear sarcasm in the written word, I should mention that, in my head at least, that last sentence was written with sarcasm.) As such, I will occasionally have some fun with my beliefs.

I hope to have some subscribers once I get the word out on this. If you enjoy this, please tell you friends. Who knows, maybe I'll get rich with all of the subscribers to this blog. (Sarcasm again, I know you don't have to pay for the subscriptions.)

The next post will tell a little about myself.

Enjoy!

The Final Answer to the Nikon vs. Canon Debate

Admittedly, I am a Nikon snob. I've been using Nikons for almost 25 years, and, except for the one the fell off of a 15 foot ladder, I've never had a problem. However, if anyone asks, and many of my friends have, Canon is just a good.

With the technology of today, if you're comparing equally priced bodies and lenses, your decision should come down to how it feels in your hand. Are the buttons in the right place for you? Does the body fit you hand size? Will your nose put smudges on the LCD Screen on the back of the camera (mine does, but that's a different post)? Do you already have a lens or two at home that will work with what you're buying? Will your wife (or husband) kill you when you get home and they see the receipt?

These are the important question to answer before you purchase a camera. Brand really doesn't matter as much as it used to. At least not until you start getting into the $3000.00 range. If you're spending that much, its Nikon all the way. (Re-read the first sentence of this post).

Next post: Which memory cards to buy. Or maybe the Boxers vs. Briefs controversy? I guess it depends on my mood.
